Day 18

It was heavily raining as expected today so I slept a little longer (not getting up at 6:30 like usual). We had some bread and took the train back to Tarui to continue where we left off yesterday…
But a car stopped on the railway crossing so we were stuck on the train for over 2 hours!!

Afterwards we walked in the rain from Tarui to Sekigahara.
Sekigahara was where the most important inland battle took place in October 1600 which Ieyasu Tokugawa won. This was the key point which made Tokugawa a shogun and started the Edo period.

Unfortunately due to the train incident earlier the whole schedule was chaos so again we had to wait another 40 min until we could take the train back to our hotel.

Good this was our “rest day” anyway. (Except for the little progress walk because I can’t just not do anything haha)

Good: Finally rain! (For walking not that great but a nice experience and good for all the veggies and plants which had me worrying)
Bad: All the delay and waiting. Ugh!
