Coming of Age
For the coming of age day I got up early, dressed myself in a modern crossover of wafuku meets streetwear and headed to the city to take some photos of all the lovely young people who celebrate becoming an adult by wearing furisode kimono with their friends.
My outfit consisted of following:
- antique checkered meisen kimono
- self-made animal print obi
- vintage pearl belt
- tokone x Misha Janette tights
- animal print Vans sneakers
- velvet haori jacket
- vintage leather gloves

But lets take a look at all these lovely furisode kimono and the cute girls wearing them.
They sure had a lot fun taking photos with their friends before the ceremony in a concert hall in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.
Unfortunately there were only to men who dressed in Japanese kimono and hakama – all the other guys just went with suits. How booooring!
