Fashion Week Tokyo AW16/17 - JOTARO SAITO

Today I went to see the new AW 16/17 kimono collection of JOTARO SAITO from Kyoto.

After seeing his show last year, I was super excited about his new line of designs. Especially that he creates slightly “darker” kimono is what I love and the fact that he combines the very traditional art of wafuku with modern designs or small modern modifications which are not too much.

今日は着物デザイナー JOTARO SAITO（斉藤上太郎）の新コレクション秋冬16/17を見に行ってきました。

去年のショーを見てから大ファンになり、新しいデザイン着物をみるのは楽しみすぎました。斉藤さんのダークなデザインや伝統的とモダンのミックスはとても素敵です。

For today I picked a dark green antique tsukesage kimono with an antique haori and vintage obi in black silver. All accents were set in red color.
The tabi socks are handmade and have small retro phones on them.

着物コーデを紹介します。深い緑のアンティーク着物をアンティーク羽織とヴィンテージ帯と合わせました。
赤は小物のテーマでして、足袋は手作りアイテムです。（レトロの電話プリントだよ！笑）

JOTARO SAITO’s new collection was named ‘GO BEYOND’ as in embracing changes of culture, tradition and beauty.

さて、新コレクション’GO BEYOND’を紹介します。
