「毎日ウィークリーの着物コラム」Mainichi Weekly Kimono column

In November I had an interview and photoshoot with the Mainichi Shinbun (one of the biggest newspaper in Japan) as some of you may remember.

１１月は毎日新聞とインタビュー及び撮影しました。

That time I wasn’t allowed to speak about it really but now I can lay my cards open:

There now is a SALZ Kimono column

From this month on, I am writing a monthly column about kimono and all that excites me for the English “Mainichi Weekly” Newspaper.
Super exciting and thankful for this opportunity (a big shout out to the amazing team at Mainichi Shinbun – they are a breeze to work with).

It is, unfortunately, a subscription newspaper in Japan so not very easy to get hold of. If anyone is interested in getting some copies though, I will include links down below where you buy selected copies online etc..

Firstly I was interviewed for the New Year’s issue to let the people know who the heck I am and what got my interested in kimono.
So along with the pictures taken I was on the front cover and second page!! Total shocker!!

長い間、公表できなかったのですが、今はOKなので：

毎日新聞でSALZの着物コラムを書くことになりました！☆

現在の４月から、月に一回、英語版の毎日ウィークリーで（僭越ながら　汗！）着物について記事を掲載させていただきます！
とても嬉しいです。毎日ウィークリーの皆様、本当にありがとうございます。（皆さんはとても優しいので、コミュニケーションだけでもいつも楽しくやってます。）

毎日ウィークリーは週間英語学習誌で、基本的に毎月の定期購読で、ニュースや面白い記事を読みながら自然な英語の勉強・練習ができる新聞です。対訳がしっかり付いているので辞書が無くても読めるっていいね。（下にリンク貼るので、興味あれば購読してみてね♡）

１月の新聞にインタビューとお洒落な着物コーディネートが掲載されました。そしてなんと！フロントページ全面と2ページ目も！！ビビった〜〜

I also received a few pictures from the shoot which was supposed to be a little fancy, as how I would go for New Year celebrations.

April was my first column print (see below) and I was asked to introduce myself and my life journey a little more before starting off fully.

４月は第一回目のコラム発表（下記みて）で私の詳しい自己紹介を書くことになった。この後は着物についてたくさん書きたいと思います。よろしく♡

Apart from that I also got interviewed for the UK magazine MyM which usually covers a lot of Games, Movies and Cosplay but also interesting topics about Japan.

その他、イギリスの雑誌にもインタビューが掲載された。MyMと言うゲーム、アニメなどの雑誌ですが、日本について色々紹介してるみたい。MvM Magazineは普通に本屋で手に入るらしいで、イギリスのある友達は早速ダッシュして買っちゃったって（笑）可愛い！
