「原宿ラフォーレで着物ショッピング」Harajuku LaForet's kimono shops
Last Saturday I went to Harajuku’s LaForet Shopping mall to check out the nice kimono pop up shops there. During the Summer months, many kimono brands offer their yukata and kimono items in department stores in the city.
土曜日は原宿ラフォーレにある様々な着物ブランドのポップアップへ行ってまいりました。
But before that let me show you my outfit.
It was a very special day for me because I made my Hakama Debut! (Meaning I never wore a hakama myself before..)
Also I wanted to show you what to wear on a rainy day!
Just pick a polyester kimono, in this case wear a hiked up poly hakama with boots and you are all set to dance in the rain with no much worries.
待て〜（笑）その前、着物コーデを紹介しますね。私にとってはとても特別な日ですした。なぜと言うと・・
袴デビューしましたぉ！！今までは他の人に袴を着せましたが、自分はまだでした。
さて、雨の日にもオススメのコーディネートは？
そう！ポリエステルの着物と袴、そして足が濡れないようにブーツ履いた。
My hair is up and decorated with a “kanoko” and a Rocket Kanzashi by Robe Japonica.
髪の毛は簡単に上げて、かのことローブジャポニカのロケット簪を飾りました。
Now that we did that, let’s check out the fun stuff in LaForet.

JAPARAN
First off we have this fun new brand Japaran who remakes kimono fabric and obi into cool modern bags.
They have many styles for all tastes: casual, cool, cute and funky – also they look cool combined with normal clothing as well as kimono
(Neither less to say that I loved the version with real leather and studs?)
最初は「ジャパラン」と言う新しい和風バッグのブランドを見に行ってきた。
「もったいない」とのコンセプトで要らなくなった帯やランドセルで新しい和風バッグを作っていらっしゃるみたいです。お好みにより自分に合ってるスタイルを選べます。可愛いかカッコイイかカジュアルー どっちがいい？
私は・・もう分かりましたよね？（笑）少しハード感のある本革入りのバックが一番気に入るですね。

MAMECHIYO MODERN（豆千代モダン）
Mamechiyo has her real shops in other department stores, but joined the fun in Harajuku anyways.
豆千代はもうすでに素敵なお店を持っていらっしゃるけど、今回もラフォーレで参加しています。
I love their designs so much and also their new summer items were really nice. Something which I thought was unusual and a lovely design, was this Meisen-look summer kimono.
Looks almost like the real think but more modern as its printed and the pastel colours are a stunner.
豆千代のデザインは前から大好きですが、新品の夏コレクションもとても素敵です。銘仙みたいなデザインは不思議で美しいと思った。モダンなパステルカラーで可愛い！
CHOKO x IROCA
Popular kimono blogger and director CHOKO teamed up with iroca for a collaboration and to also share the booth at LaForet.
着物ブロガー・ディレクターチョコさんはイロカさんとコラボして、ラフォーレにも出てます。
I’m just loving the vibrant colours:

Hopefully that cat obi will be mine soon.
猫の半幅帯は買うつもり。もう少し仕事頑張ってからね。楽しみ〜
Thus over the Hakama, I also tried CHOKOS new kimono “Wander Jungle” and it fitted with my haneri as if I planned this. (I mean.. of course I planned it. Cough.)
袴の上に着物きるとデブみたいに見えますが、チョコさんの新作よ！カッコイイでしょ？ 緑の半襟も完璧に合ってました。（それはもちろん偶然じゃなかった・・ 嘘です！笑）

Also by coincidence I finally got to meet Hina-chan, who has quite some kimono fans too.
そして本当に偶然のはヒナちゃんと会う事！突然に目の前にヒナちゃんが立ちました。ずっとインスタでフォローしてるけど、生でみるのは初めてでした。お互いテンション上がりました。

ろっこや (Roccoya)
Another brand is Roccoya who shared their shop with two other designers as well.
They had also fun designs available and I could try this amazing vibrant yellow satellite yukata on.
そしてろっこやも参加してます。サテライトの浴衣は最高です！私も宇宙に飛びそうになった（笑）
Hina-chan and me were so colourful that we needed to take one shot together.

月影屋 (Tsukikageya)
Right at the entrance of LaForet the Tsukikageya had her pop up and its wild.
Simple design yukata and accessories you need for matsuri (festival) looks.
ラフォーレの入り口にあったのは月影屋。ワイルドな世界で面白い浴衣、帯や小物はあります。そして私の知り合いはお手伝いしてました。
The best koshihimo I have ever seen, although too pricey for my taste.
今までの一番かっこいい腰紐だが、お値段は・・なんとも言えないね。
And the most fun and political obi I have seen in… like.. forever?
“Make America Great Again!”
トランプさん！！ウケる！！センスいいですね。
All her obis are hand embellished with crystals.
帯は全てを一個づつで手作りです。クリスタルはきらきら〜
